The SQL SELECT DISTINCT Statement

The SELECT DISTINCT statement is used to return only distinct (different) values.

Inside a table, a column often contains many duplicate values; and sometimes you only want to list the different (distinct) values.

SELECT DISTINCT Syntax

SELECT DISTINCT column1, column2, ...
FROM table_name;

Demo Database

Below is a selection from the "Customers" table in the Northwind sample database:

SELECT Example Without DISTINCT

The following SQL statement selects ALL (including the duplicates) values from the "Country" column in the "Customers" table:

Note: The example above will not work in Firefox! Because COUNT(DISTINCT column_name) is not supported in Microsoft Access databases. Firefox is using Microsoft Access in our examples.

    Introduction to SQL

    SQL is a standard language for accessing and manipulating databases.


    What is SQL?

    SQL stands for Structured Query Language
    SQL lets you access and manipulate databases
    SQL became a standard of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in 1986,
    and of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1987


    What Can SQL do?

    SQL can execute queries against a database
    SQL can retrieve data from a database

    SQL can create new databases

    SQL can create stored procedures in a database

    However, to be compliant with the ANSI standard, they all support at

    Using SQL in Your Web Site

    To build a web site that shows data from a database, you will need:

  In First step, We need to get fresh laravel version application 
  using bellow command. So Let's open terminal and run
  bellow command.

  Step 2 : Setup Database Configuration

  After successfully install laravel app thenafter configure databse setup.
  We will open ".env" file and change the database name, username and 
  password in the env file.

  Step 3 : Install Razorpay

  In this step, we need to install razorpay laravel package in our application. 
  so let's open terminal and run bellow

  In this step, we will add two routes, one for display razorpay payment gateway 
  and another for store payment. So you have to simply add two new routes in your
